Thursday: The Glory Of Motorway Services

We landed in Manchester with a bit of a delay but also without incident.  And, amazingly, all our luggage turned up too - a fact I could celebrate in advance as, given my last fiasco with Air Canada and luggage, we’d invested in some Apple AirTags.  They’re absolutely fabulous, even if I did get a bit obsessed with watching the luggage move.

We picked up a hire car and then headed across the country to my auntie’s with whom we are staying for the next few weeks.  Cousin J and S have also come up for the weekend.

We started the UK adventure as we mean to go on with a Gregg’s sausage roll…….
