Alstroemeria

When I am shooting flowers in the garden centre I am always looking for angles which will allow me to capture the main subject against a sympathetic background. This can be done getting a highly diffuse background by using a narrow depth of field or by finding specimens that can be easily shot against a neutral background as I was able to do with this alstroemeria. It is not often that a light vignette works well but with this darker grey background I find it quite attractive.
