a walk on the wild side

Today I visited my friend who loves flowers and has her own wildflower garden. Here you can see pink and white striped Clarkia, blue Bachelor button, red Clover, and pink Bachelor button. Such a colorful selection in just the one square foot I photographed! The garden is quite long and wide with many other varieties of flowers, colors, and textures. My friend said part of the fun of a wildflower garden is that you never know what is going to come up after  throwing the seed mixture out in the spring.
I chose this photo to post because of my fondness for Bachelor buttons. I'd never seen any in pink!
