Inside and Out

During a short walk on Dartmoor today I thought I would stop to have a look inside Sheepstor church. Inside it was cool and felt very peaceful. From the outside stain glass windows can look dull and uninspiring on a bright, sunny day. Inside, they take on a different character and seem to transcend our everyday existence, which was probably the original intention. I liked this one as it seemed to combine religion with the natural world outside. Before leaving I put a small donation in the collection box and made an entry in the visitors book. The last entry in the book was two days before and the visitors were from North America.
