Not many photos taken today.

Mr C was working in the morning.  Sim and Nat arrived around lunchtime and stayed for the afternoon as we also had J&D over for lunch.  D is Josh’s godmother but we haven’t seen them for quite a few years.

Sims godfather had recently died.  An incredibly sad situation.  He lived on his own and was quite a loner sort of guy.  Just before we went to Budapest Mr C received a call from one of his neighbours to say he had passed away. He died in March but wasn’t discovered until June and the funeral was whilst we were away.  However, Sim, Josh and Lucy were all able to attend.  He had no other family and the neighbour, that seemed to have been organising quite a lot of things, asked Sim what to do with his ashes.  

Mr C, J & T (Sims godfather) all met many moons ago when they all did judo. So we had invited J&D over to be with us when we scattered his ashes in ‘our’ grounds where T would often come and walk with one of our old dogs.

Such a sad, sad situation as Mr C had been trying to make contact with T over the past year to let him know about O being born and unbeknown to us J had also been trying to contact him. He died of natural causes but so sad that we didn’t get to see him before.

It was still a lovely afternoon of reminiscing.
