Buffalo Dancer

A few miles north of Santa Fe is an amazing hotel and casino called Buffalo Thunder. This is the cast bronze sculpture of a pueblo Buffalo Dancer out the front of the hotel.

The first Spanish explorers of the Southwest used the term" pueblo" - which is the Spanish word for town -and it is used to describe the communities of Native Americans in the Southwest.
