Beaming Tom Walsh

We were all set at 6am to watch the Shot Put at the Comms.  We had two in the lineup of twelve competitors. Tom Walsh is our local lad, a builder, and we're so proud of his achievements today defending his gold from four years ago.  And Jacko Gill from Auckland took silver.  
Without exception this had to be my blip, of course taken off the TV and made into a collage.  Tom is absolutely beaming with pride and excitement.  He has a string of world achievements, his best is 22.90m, today his last throw was 22.26m. 

Its rained most of the day (as if we haven't had enough) and the wind last night was ridiculious.

I started reading my Book Club book this afternoon - i think it will be ok "The Turn of the Key" Ruth Ware the author.
