Surprise

I thought I was hallucinating when I looked out the window this afternoon.  Mom Mallard seems to have a brand new bunch of little ones.  I'm only surprised because I don't really know anything about ducks and their breeding habits and I thought the baby season was over.  I guess it doesn't matter what I think.  Mom Mallard has the upper wing here.  She can have babies whenever she pleases and whenever that is, they're adorable.
