Peace, perfect peace.

think this is one of my favourite roses, a climbing version of Peace. I can't really claim any responsibility for it as it's been a mature rose for more than the 28 years we've lived here. It's so reliable and has a good scent into the bargain. It's on our driveway against the side of our house facing east.
Thank you blippers, what nice people you are. I opened blip this morning and had two lovely unlooked for compliments and the offer of a gift too. What a great way to start the day!
I headed out to West Linton this morning to see blipper Nadine Pierce of Pentland Aromatics at her stall at the market there. Lots of lovely stalls and nice to catch up too and as a bonus, to collect a lovely tester gift from her in my favourite scent. Thank you, looking forward to trying it out! A touch of luxury.
Back home Ali came to join us for the afternoon. Stuart and four of his friends all had their daughters round to their house. They were going to celebrate one of the girl's first birthdays. What a lovely idea to have the dads celebrating together.
We had a quiet afternoon here which was just what we needed.
