Amelia's Christening
After breakfast with Mr HB looking smart and the HareBrain looking glamorous, I wish, we journeyed up to Goostrey in Cheshire as guests at the Baptism of Miss Amelia. She was so good through the really lovely and personal ceremony until the point when, with help, she dive bombed backwards into the font, from which she emerged with a look of extreme shock on her little face, but otherwise unscathed! The afternoon was spent in Amelia's grandparents' lovely garden in the sunshine with a scrumptious array of food, drinks and a beautiful rainbow birthday cake for Amelia's 1st Birthday on Monday, and all under the watchful eye of the Jodrell Bank telescope. There was a little pre-birthday present opening by Amelia and I'm pleased to say that Daisy the felt sheep I made for her was loved instantly.
Amelia's Daddy is a pilot with Sun Wing Airlines in Canada, her Mummy is Canadian and they are over in the Uk as J has been deployed to Aberdeen for 6 months, flying for TUI. Mr HB sent J solo in a glider several years ago.
