DIY on the Roof

One of our DIY-happy neighbours installed a few solar panels on his roof this weekend, and got another neighbour and his son to help.

I'm sure they did a good job, but at times it was unsettling to watch them work close to the edge, without any safety measures.

(And yes, that window I stealthily took the photo through badly needs cleaning...)

The new solar panels will produce a lot of energy in the coming week, as will our own. 

I added the week's forecast as an extra. I find all this sunshine depressing by now. The current drought is already the worst on record, and the constant heat gets really stressful, especially for the elderly.  Still, no rain in sight, with a new heatwave building up once again.
