Spitfire Ale

Time for another British beer review. This time I have Shepherd Neame's Spitfire described as "Kentish Ale" and "The Bottle of Britain". Very clever. Now I am not going to stir the pot and get into the warm beer thing again. I also wish to add that I am FULLY conversant with the idea that this bottled ale must be nothing like the original draft variety etc. All I CAN say for sure is that I did enjoy it hugely but at a personal level, I probably slightly preferred the Old Peculiar ale from last time. It remains the champ so far ... for THIS reviewer, anyway.
