It's not the size of the carp that counts ......

I did consider posting this photo with a sarcastic comment about "compensating," but I know the neighbour who erected these three meter long carp banners. He is a lovely man who made and fitted our tatami, fitted our floorboards and wallpapered all our rooms. That is what the Japanese call "reform." D.I.Y. is not big in this country; decorators (reform companies) are almost always hired. They are professional, quick and reasonably priced. Anyway, I'm sure his heart is as full of love for his son as these carp are as full of air.
