Damsel
We spent a lot of today doing a 7 mile walk out from N’s flat and back. Our route took us along the banks of the river Irwell ,which flows through Manchester , right to an are known as the Kersal wetlands which N had discovered a few months ago. We saw the most amazing variety of bird life ( given we could at all times see the city centre). These included heron (3), Canada geese, Muscovy duck, mute swan, assorted sea birds, and coots.
