Communal

The Covid crisis over, I'm moved back to sharing a room, back on the amputees' ward. 

I'm used to taking meals in my room, but one of the nurses suggests trying the dining room where some of the patients eat together. 

It turns out to be a good idea. We're a pretty diverse bunch, but it can't be denied that we have something in common.
