Hoverfly on cornflower

Today there were lots of bees in the garden, and a few hoverflies. A single peacock butterfly landed on a flower, but by the time I moved along so I wasn't looking straight into the sun, it had gone.
More good news for Scottish athletics today.  Laura Muir took the gold in the 1500 m, and Eilish McColgan followed her gold in the 10K with a silver in the 5K. And the team for the 4x400 m relay took bronze, after an unfortunate disqualification for the English team.
