Hopefully this is the last day of the heat wave. 31 C and felt like 38 C. Showers and rain in the forecast for the next week. Apparently the models are not agreeing on who is going to get the rain, so we will wait and see what we get.
The usual Sunday here, laundry, house cleaning and weekly invoices this morning. Went to brunch, the grocery shopping. I would have liked to go to the closing ceremonies for the canoe championship but it was much too hot to spend time outside. I waited till later, then went for a drive out to Eastern Passage. Saw this pirate outside one of the shops, ready for Pirate Days, Aug 19 - 21.
I ran into a friend of mine while there, she just recovered from Covid. Like many people now, she has no idea where she got it. She was always careful about her contacts, but still managed to get it.
