Hot Pinks ...

... at 2 pm on Union Street on my afternoon walk. It was indeed hot.  Our thermometer went up to 100.2 F (38 C)--it's well out of the sun, though perhaps a bit above average.

We stayed in, except for my usual block walk, down to Market Street.  And we watched a pair of finals in Washington DC's tournament.  In the men's, Nick Kyrios of Australia beat Yoshihito Nishioka from Japan. In the women's Daria Kasatkina of Russia prevailed over the American Shelby Rogers. Both matches went to  2 of 3 sets,
