Matching Husband

Having finally constructed and painted our new garden arbour, M thought he would try it out.  By complete co-incidence his outfit perfectly matches our chosen colour scheme.  Ziggy's furry outfit matches the gravel pretty well too.

Where it's stood used to be a flower bed but immediately behind our fence there is a row of trees belong to our opposite neighbour.  They are too close together and have been left to get too large for the size of the garden and they take all the moisture and nutrients out of the soil.  So after trying to plant various plants/shrubs in the bed over the last few years, we gave up and have now gravelled the area and have added pots of flowers instead.  M spent quite some time levelling the ground before we added the arbour and we were puzzled as to why it looked crooked. M deployed his spirit level, which confirmed that the arbour was in fact dead level but the fence behind wasn't so we've had to tilt it slightly just to make it look right.

Just to finish it off I found an attractive decorative plaque at an antiques fair to hang above the seat.
