Guangzhou: Opera House

Headed up to Guangzhou to support the Royal New Zealand Ballet at the Guangzhou Opera House on the final night of their China 'Giselle' tour. Wonderful to be there for the team!

My first impression of visiting Guangzhou in December was ho-hum, giving lectures on their 'university island' in the middle of nowhere, but Saturday night in the 'new' centre of Guangzhou - wow! Amazing structures, both inside and out, with fantastic lighting and great public spaces which are actually used.
