Smores

The eldest has been asking to make Smores, so this morning we collected firewood and said that if it cooled off a bit, we'd make them after dinner.  The weather paid attention and was cool enough to be comfortable with a fire on our fab, very portable fire pit. Two very happy boys. 

We had planned to go fruit picking this morning, but found that local pick your own is closed on Monday's, although it looks as if we have missed most of the summer fruit.  Hopefully we will have some luck! 

The boys played at home all day, the power of no entertainment provided meant they had to make it up for themselves, which worked very well aside from the trail of mess (which cleared up very quickly),.

Today I'm grateful for: 
A lovely morning walk with the boys, they were very happy to go out and both asked to go further than intended 
Boys playing so nicely all day
