Save Water - Bath With A Friend ...

... though it's not obligatory to drink the bathwater. :) I bought this large terracotta pot saucer to use inverted as a cake-stand at our daughter's horticulturally themed wedding. I've put it on a low wall where Ollie dog likes to drink from it. A pair of pigeons have been visiting. It's interesting to see them drinking as, unlike other birds, they use their beaks like straws and suck up the water. This is the first time that I've seen them having a bath.

As we left the house on our morning walk I heard the juvenile buzzards mewing, from high above today.  A pair were interacting, it seemed in play, flying for the pure pleasure of it. (Extras)
