Dynamic Duo

First the good news.  It's actually all good news but this is the best news.  Piper's breathing is back in the high end of the normal range.  It's either that she had an infection that the antibiotics are helping or it's the heat.  We've had high humidity this past week that has made the heat much harder to bear.  My Florida niece laughed when I complained about 50% humidity, but it's pretty high when we're used to about 10%.  It's definitely enough to make us feel sweaty and even more uncomfortable.  If I was wearing a fur coat like Piper's, I would probably have heat stroke!  She used to tolerate the heat pretty well, but, like her mom and dad, she is getting up in years. Anyway, we are encouraged. :-)

The other good news is that our carpet is finally clean.  We haven't had it done since Covid and it really needed it!!  Big M Services is owned by Darrin's uncle, and Vince (right) is his cousin.  Miguel is Vince's stepson.  We haven't seen Vince since he was Miguel's age, and it was a very happy reunion.  He has overcome some big challenges and we're so glad to see how well he's doing now.  They did a wonderful job and when they were finished, Vince said they were under strict orders not to give us a bill.  Of course, they were tipped very well.  We are grateful to Larry for his generosity!
