Here's one I made earlier

Plan A went awry after the switch on the donor lamp went ping.... And the lamp doodah would not come off

So I bought a new lamp doodah, with its own switch and some flex and a plug.

After some drilling the canister sat nicely on the lamp stand part and after that the shade fitted nicely, no one got electrocuted and we have light!
