I took a walk along the south coast today, about 10 km via Nutbourne to Chidham and back through the fields. This is one of my favourite paths. It's been a blissful summer's day, exceptionally warm at around 28C.  The humming of the combine harvesters is a lovely sound and I watched the activity for a good while (in the extra). In spite of the scarcity of rain, there is still some water in the streams and the harvest is looking impressive.
