But makes for a good reflection. Yoga on the beach tonight. As a bonus, there was a large group of people with their chairs in a circle, found out they were guarding/watching a turtle nest. So it is Day 53 since the momma turtle laid her eggs. They usually hatch about Day 60-70 but the group from the turtle rescue comes out early to be sure to keep those little nests safe and help get the hatchlings to the water. They dig a trough from the nest to the sea and try to keep the area dark as they usually hatch during the night and can be led astray by lights and people. The only lights allowed are red, but this momma put her eggs right outside the Holiday Inn on the sand so it wasn't exactly the darkest place she could have chosen. Found out there were only 2 nests on Wrightsville Beach this year - there can be many more as some beaches in the area had up to 17 nests. This was a very exciting moment for me as I had been looking for nests since June and there it was in the area where we spend the most time!
