The Start
of the Derby 10k.
The first time I've been involved in a proper chipped race and the first time I've run the whole distance in one go, no stopping or walking.
A respectable 1hr 2mins and 4secs (darn those 4 seconds!) got me 2712 out of 3517 finishers.
The best thing was hearing my hubby shout out my name as I came into the stadium (knowing the boys were there too) and spurring me on across the finish line.
Now to start training for my first half marathon :-) (I've signed up for Birmingham in October)
I'm off out this evening with the boys to eat my weight in all you can eat Chinese - I think I deserve it
