Garden glories
What a gorgeous day! Took my macro lens out into the garden to catalogue some of the plants and to try to get some bee photos - the bees are loving the lavender.
I was rather taken with this ginger bee, which might be a Bombus muscorum (aka large carder bee). Apparently their numbers are declining so it woudl be great if our garden is providing a sanctuary for them. Do let me know if I am right.
The sweet peas are flowering faster than I can cut them and there is lots of colour from the hydrangeas and some of the perennials i planted this year - see my Flickr album for more, if you are interested.
