Red welcome

We go away for four days and look what happens! When we left for Bruges on Wednesday morning the tulips were still green and there was no hint of the blaze to come. But when we came into the drive on our homecoming on Saturday this was the spectacle that greeted us.

I bought a dozen red tulip bulbs many years ago and planted them in two clumps not far apart. Now they have spread themselves all over the garden.
What a gift!
