Bonsai
We spent today in Tacoma, a short drive from Seattle. We visited the Glass Museum there where we saw more impressive Chihuly work, as well as many other creative pieces. We particularly enjoyed watching the students in the open-studio glass-blowing class knock off their pieces and the exhibition of glass sculptures made at the suggestion of little kids ("a neon-green, one-eyed cyclops pickle") were *very* cute. Our next stop was the Pacific Bonsai Museum, a very peaceful spot with some gorgeous old trees, big and small. Dinner was a conveyor-belt sushi place that is a favourite of Th and R, complete with automated waiter-robots that wheel out your drinks. We are definitely having fun! :)
