Little Boxes

A friend who has just moved to Edinburgh to work invited me round for fizz & nibbles to celebrate her birthday. It was a lovely gathering of people with lots of interesting conversation.

She's living in a fabulous old Edinburgh townhouse that was converted into flats a long time ago. The wire-pull door lock system still works (the front door opened via a wire connected to a lever in her flat's hallway) and there's also this very elegant postbox system.
