Did a quick salad type of shop in the local COOP this morning, and I always get frustrated by not being able to find local/British veg/salad/fruit products on the shelf when they are in season.  I still had to put up with Dutch cucumber and sweet peppers, but the English cherry tomatoes were back, and strawberries which in truth have not actually been a problem this year – well to the consumer anyway . . .
 
So what better to make an abstract from than the freshly washed tomatoes and strawberries.  I’ll leave it up to you to decide if they are capricious or quirky.
