End of an era

Andrew came over to join us for a cooked breakfast, then took the dog for a short walk. While Janet, Roger and I went to church, Andrew cooked the Sunday lunch. it was a good service, but kind of sad. I posted on our visit last October that it may have been our last visit since the church was likely to be closing. It is a small village church and they were down to 6 members. well, it hasnt closed yet, but it is closing at the end of the month. Its been Janets church for over 50 years, so it will be a wrench for her. after a very good Sunday lunch, Andrew left us as he had tickets to see the squash finals of the Commonwealth Games, and Roger and I to go for a walk along the River Severn. Later, we had a salad tea, and Roger and I left to drive back up to Janet and John's for a couple of nights.
