Huge thanks to everyone who has left stars and hearts on my last two blips, especially as I’m so bad with the communication/interaction side of blip at the moment.
The day started well. I took the garden recycling to the ‘tip’ and picked up some milk in Tesco (our milkman retired at the end of June). Found the perfect birthday card for E at the garden centre, took it home and wrote it.
While looking for a piece of paper with the postcode on, I noticed one of my debit cards was missing. I searched in the obvious places and decided to report it as lost. I must not have been thinking straight by then because I put a second class stamp on the envelope when it needed to go first class. I found another envelope for the card but later realised I could have bought additional stamps at the post office.
Arriving back from the post box I bumped into our postman who asked how I was. My reply was something like this “ok, sob sob, thanks for asking, sob sob, it must have been obvious from the mail”. What a prat I felt afterwards.
The mail he’d just delivered involved a lot of reading and the contents of one envelope I decided to pass on to the solicitor who will get it sorted much more quickly and efficiently than I would. Another walk down the hill and back took me well over my minimum daily exercise target so I was happy to spend the afternoon indoors where it was cooler.
Around 2 I answered a call on my mobile. It was Andrew from the pub we were in after yesterday’s service. They’d just found my bank card while looking for something else. I didn’t even use it to pay the bill! I said I’d notified the bank and he offered to destroy it so I agreed.
Feeling better after that discovery I decided to sort things out with the energy company. That was easy . . . . I didn’t even have to press a button to choose an option and the staff got details changed very quickly. Just a bit of music to listen to while Hannah passed me on to Jack.
At some point in the heat of the afternoon I spent a few minutes in the garden where I found a cranesbill flower to blip.
