No smoke without fire

A very sluggish start after expecting a call at any time through the night. It didn't happen, thankfully.

A lovely surprise to bump into @livresse and django on their way back from their walk this evening. They could actually see the fires that are producing this smoke from the top of the hills. I see a ban on fires has been brought in on the Pentlands for the next few days, let's hope people play ball as it's a tinderbox out there just now

Re dad, a fraught night and day but it looks like the infection was caused by the feeding tube and not lower down and they acted quickly enough. They're throwing everything at it and hoping it doesn't spread.

Looks like he'll be back in intensive care for a few days so he can be closely monitored. My poor mum. I'm exhausted too so apologies if I don't catch up on blips and comments etc just now
