Better safe than sorry?

Online I gave notice of my wish to end my two year subscription to a magazine at the end of my two years. Immediately I got a nice offer for another year that I accepted. So I already have various emails confirming both the end of one and the start of the next subscription. Today I got three letters, all addressed to me, all coming from the same address, each in their own envelope with their own postage fee. Two letters exactly the same, about cancelling the first. Another about welcoming me to the next subscription period. And mind you, all for the same magazine. And all information already received by email.

No wonder fees are rising...
