Through the arched window

Well the weather wasn't as kind as yesterday but we had a fine day.
Setting off from Burnsall via Kettlewell we drove through Coverdale to Middleham. We stopped off at Jervaulx Abbey which is where this was taken.
Driven past many times but the first time I have visited. Very picturesque. It's in private ownership so far removed from National Trust and English Heritage manicured perfection and all the more charming for that.
We lunched in Masham. Also a place I haven't really explored before. We will be back.
