evening sun by the lake

We had planned to go home today but why would you?! We spent our extra evening eating fish and chips by the lake - refuelling after another day of swimming in Elterwater.

The only bit of the day I found hard was watching Eve say goodbye to her friend. They were just so lovely to one another, so naturally I slipped on my large sunglasses and had a brief weep on their behalf.

Gratefuls:

2. A glass of rose in the late evening sun;
