12th August - the Glorious Twelfth!!!

If ever a day is misnamed, it is today.
What can be “glorious” about blasting defenceless birds out of the sky!
It disgusts me that people like aristocrats and rich social climbers pay enormous sums of money to take part in this slaughter of the innocent.
The photo is of something we are growing on our allotment. They are about melon sized and could be courgettes, pumpkins or pasta plants, so called because it looks like spaghetti inside. We won’t know until we open one!!!
