Waterlily

It has been another scorcher.  High of 28C.

We did our food shopping early this morning, then I headed down to Netherlee to have lunch with Pat and Maeve.  We had a super 2 hour lunch, all chat, although Pat struggles to be heard now as she has a problem with her voice box.  But we manage and did have some good laughs.

After lunch I helped Pat to do a bit of shopping before we parted.  The ten minute bus service is normally reliable, but took three quarters of an hour today.  The driver said that they are so short of bus drivers that they can't run the service efficiently.  It seems they are all working on deliveries nowadays, and it seems to be better paid with less responsibility.

I was ready for the fab ice drink that Bob made for me when I got home.
Dinner was very easy, cold meat and salad, and we really enjoyed it in the heat.

Bob acquired a disused whisky barrel last year, and filled it (with water not whisky) and set it up as a wee pond.  He has grown a lovely waterlily, so it is worth a blip for Flower Friday.
