Heading home

Our last day at this beautiful villa, our best one yet.

We didn’t hear #3 daughter and family leave at 4.30am but we know they arrived safely in Manchester. It seemed very quiet without them. The boys swam, James, #2 daughter and I had races - obviously I achieved bronze medal in every race.

During the holiday the children had invented a game called imposter which they played a lot. As they were 2 down in numbers today, we all played. If you drew the piece of paper with x you were the imposter and had to try to tap someone to kill them. At any stage someone could call an emergency meeting to accuse someone of being the imposter. Mr C and I “acted suspiciously” which meant a meeting was called and a vote was taken about who the impostor was. As everyone agreed it was one of us we were then out of the game and could go away to read our books.

We went up to Collazone for pizzas for our last night. They were really good. We walked past the church on our way to the car. The sunset was stunning.

A friend went to Cyprus 10 days ago with 3 women friends and got Covid on the plane. She’s still feeling more ill than ever in her life. What a rotten holiday. She had it last December and has had all the jabs. She called to advise us to wear a mask on our journey which of course we will.
