Aide memoire

We have here the operational shield of my first unit 33 Squadron,Royal Corps of Transport circa 1983 bought around this time of year whilst serving in Northern Ireland,Belfast. It was a busy tour taking in the General election that year as well as a number of high profile incidents and one very memorable afternoon in the security area of the city center drinking Guinness which is why I never touch the stuff now ;-) Not bad for an 18 yr old at the time .......
