Summer School teaching Art Day #5

This morning's theme was still life, and it was the easiest morning of the week. The (younger) summer camp kids were out on a day trip so we had the entire Art studio area in which to work and breathe. I created four set ups in two different studios for my teenagers to paint in either watercolor or acrylic and the entire 3.5 hours passed pleasantly and considerably more comfortably in the greater, and cooler space available.

After cleaning up, school lunch and an afternoon at home recovery period (!), I met Sarah and we went in to Arnavutkoy for drinks and dinner at Dantes, meeting Sean and Marshall who were already there, though they did both leave earlier than us so we had the chance for some exclusive girl talk :) By the time we left several other folk from school had arrived at this popular bar and the street was full of locals enjoying their summer night in Istanbul.
