This is swan 754. If you frequent Bedford Priory Park you may just bump into him.

I cannot remember his mate's designation, but last year's brood hang about: 692; 693; 694; & 4AAG

NOW something I must tell you about 754.

He has a very good memory, he will remember you.

He likes rice crispies, cornflakes and branflakes, all of which are better for him and his family (and cheaper if you buy value) than bread.

And when he has a young brood he can get rather 'protective'. Don't (and I really do mean DON'T ) threaten his family. He is quite capable of breaking your arm and may very well try.

Apart from that he will quite happily eat from your (well gloved protected) hand.

He was fascinated today with the camera sound from my smart phone.
