Mayflower steps

Phew it’s hot, especially in the hospital ward, where the thermometer behind my mum’s bed read 30 degrees - she doesn’t seem to notice, thank goodness. We just sit there trying not to melt. The bad few days earlier in the week are explained by an infection, so the antibiotics have brought about a big improvement.

They’re waiting on a rehab bed as it’s about mobility now.

We popped to the Barbican for breakfast and did the Mayflower Steps photo op. Now back at the hotel about to have a swim to cool down!
