Let There Be Light

Today marks the start of the Worcester Summer Festival.  Two weeks of jollity, a shame the weather is going to deteriorate but should be mainly OK. It was kicked off at the cathedral by four hours of continuous bell ringing.  Actually I think it was too hot for four hours and they gave up after two or three.  The cloisters were lined with stalls selling all sorts, including a Worcestershire WildLife Trust stall where we swapped our Warwickshire membership to Worcestershire. The cafe had moved their tables into the Chapter House where we had a coffee in the great circular space.

Two new monuments had appeared in the main cathedral by the rear doors; St David and the subject of my photo King Llewelyn (I think). I liked the sunlight through the open doors and the window with the pure white of the sculpture.

There is a small character perched at one end of the window cill.

After lunch I made a curry we will have for tea.  Then we both took it easy on the patio as it is too warm to do anything else.
