Holiday

That’s what it feels like as we are doing very little other than potter around and read. We took the girls out early for a bit longer than yesterday and picked up paper and croissants.
We have managed to keep the living room and hall cool and so spent most of the day either indoors or sat in the shade at the bottom of the garden. This afternoon hubby said it’s like being on holiday in France and we often have pastis in the afternoon, so he brought out glasses and jug of iced water to enjoy this lovely tipple in the garden.
Had lots of messages and photos from the daughter today, they are enjoying a day on the north east coast, she said it is warm but not hot like here. Ruby doesn’t seem to be missing them and is enjoying being with Hetty and watching for squirrel.
