Final golden day

Calming early walk,
Water play, train tracks and cake.
Over-excited.

Home tomorrow.  Today was the last full day with family.  Mr KCNQ2Haiku and I take it in turns being "Ben monitor" so that we each get a chance to join in, help out and generally participate with the rest of the family.  Littlest cousin is 2 & half and this is only his second visit from America, so it's lovely to be able to build up trust with him.  It has definitely felt like Ben is done with it all today though, we've had a couple of blow ups that I think are mainly due to him being in a place where he can't self regulate in the same way. At home he has his quiet trampoline and headphones for TV so he cycles between those things and then accessing other activities we put on.  Here he is constantly distracted by someone doing something interesting or fun, inadvertently meaning he doesn't want to go and do the things that calm him down.  
Older son and niece have had some fun bonding today though which was sweet and we've got an evening of pizza, wine and games ahead of us, when Ben settles.  Overall, definitely a very happy and successful Golden Wedding :-)
