That’s cheered her up no end

Today our town received a visit from a giant puppet, as part of Aura’s Odyssey.
I had thought it was probably connected with a charity for refugees, but its actually a piece of performance art and represents a figure from Greek mythology. When I told Miss Beewatcher I was going to see it she commented that it was terrifying, which I poo-pooed, but I have to say that in reality it is pretty terrifying.
Various local organisations were presenting Aura with symbolic gifts, and here she is in the park with her giant library card. Extra shows her in the town square with her Gary Gatwick teddy bear mascot, and tonight she’ll be “ sleeping “ in the shopping mall under a giant quilt made of squares created by individual townspeople.
Well, it’s different,
