Cricket on the Green

Bearsted Cricket Club has played on Bearsted Green since time immemorial. Now that the rugby season is coming to an end, attention turns to cricket and one of our regular stops on Saturday walks is the Green to watch Bearsted CC playing.

Today, the club are playing Ofham and have just started their reply to an Ofham score of over 200 runs.

I like this shot because of the composition - although the batsman is rather static, there is a good background of interested onlookers. Stand by for more cricket over the summer months.
